Instructions:
  • Choose any two from the following: ChatGPT, Curipod, Canva Magic Write, Eduaide, Diffit.
  • Test each tool with a sample lesson or topic you currently teach.
  • In a shared document or slide deck, answer:
    • What does this tool do?
    • What age/subject is it most useful for?
    • How could it enhance learning or engagement?
    • What are its limitations or concerns?

Activity 2: Create an AI-Enhanced Mini Lesson PlanObjective: Design a short lesson incorporating an AI tool for differentiation or enrichment.
Instructions:
  • Choose a subject and grade level.
  • Identify a learning goal.
  • Use an AI tool (e.g., Canva for visuals, ChatGPT for feedback prompts, Diffit for leveled texts).
  • Include:
    • Standards addressed
    • Materials needed (including tech)
    • Step-by-step procedure
    • Reflection prompt or formative assessment

Activity 3: AI Literacy PlanningObjective: Promote student understanding of AI tools and responsible use.
Instructions:
  • Brainstorm ways to introduce AI literacy at your grade level.
  • Use the Brookings reading for context.
  • Draft a 10–15 minute mini-lesson or advisory session on:
    • What AI is and isn’t
    • One AI tool students may already use (or will use in class)
    • Responsible and ethical use
  • Optional: Develop a simple “Student AI Use Contract”

Formative Assessment and ReflectionExit Ticket Prompts (Choose One):
  • Which AI tool showed the most promise for your subject or grade? Why?
  • What challenges do you foresee in introducing AI into your classroom?
  • How might you help students develop AI literacy?
Quiz (Google Form or Printed):
  • What is one benefit and one concern with using AI in instruction?
  • Match the AI tool to its function (e.g., Canva –> visual design).
  • Name a strategy for using AI to support struggling learners.

Optional Homework or Extension ActivityExplore Eduaide or Curipod and build a 15-minute interactive lesson.
Bring it to the next session for peer feedback and revision.
The following activities include AI tools that enhance student engagement, provide data-driven insights, and facilitate personalized learning.
Group Activity 1: AI Tool Comparison Gallery Walk

Goal: Evaluate the use of various AI tools for educational purposes.
AI Tools: ChatGPT, Canva Magic Write, Diffit, Curipod, Eduaide
Instructions:
  1. Divide into 5 small groups. Assign each group one AI tool.
  2. Each group explores the tool and creates a 1-slide visual summary using Canva or Curipod, covering:
    • Key features
    • Best classroom use cases
    • Benefits and concerns
  3. Conduct a gallery walk. Other groups leave feedback or questions using comments in Curipod or sticky notes on a shared board (Jamboard or Google Slides).
  4. Debrief together: Which tools seem most promising for your teaching?

Group Activity 2: Collaborative AI-Enhanced Lesson Build
Goal: Co-create a short lesson plan using an AI tool.
AI Tools: Eduaide.ai and ChatGPT
Instructions:
  1. In subject-alike or grade-level groups, select a learning standard or objective.
  2. Use Eduaide.ai to generate lesson ideas and structure.
  3. Refine content using ChatGPT (e.g., writing prompts, discussion questions, rubrics).
  4. Finalize and present your lesson plan using a shared doc or Canva slide.
Extension: Upload to a shared folder and peer-review another group’s lesson for clarity, engagement, and responsible AI use.

AI-Integrated Individual Activities
Individual Activity 1: AI Tool Trial Log
Goal: Personally explore AI classroom tools.
AI Tools: Choice of any two: Canva Magic Write, ChatGPT, Diffit, Eduaide
Instructions:
  1. Choose two tools and test them using a lesson, topic, or activity you already teach.
  2. Record your findings in a reflection log:
    • Tool name and link
    • What did you try?
    • What surprised you?
    • How might this help students?
    • Any concerns or adjustments?
Optional Format: Submit via Google Doc, Wakelet, or Microsoft OneNote.
